Planning has begun in earnest for the Relay for Life of Greene County, slated for April 22 at the Greene County Community Center. This year’s theme is “Relay for Life – A Game Changer.”
Relay sponsorship co-chairs Craig and Deb Marquardt have sent letters to previous and potential sponsors. Sponsorships by businesses, organizations and individuals cover Relay expenses so that all money raised by teams can go to fund patient and survivor services, advocacy and cancer research.
Sponsorships are available at several suggested levels, and donations of goods and services for the silent auction, an important part of the Relay, are also welcome. Donors can chose whether their sponsorships are acknowledged publicly or kept confidential.
Sponsorship commitments are requested by Feb. 26 for planning purposes. Persons who want more information about Relay sponsorships can call the Marquardts at 515-968-4540 or Caryline Clark at 515-727-0046.
